At the foot of the southern slopes of Stara Planina, near the Black sea coast is situated the city of Sveti Vlas.
Only 10 km from the historic town of Nessebar. Sveti Vlas occupies the northern part of the bay, which is located near Sunny Beach and villa complex Elenite, with Burgas 40 km to the south. The city was founded in the 2nd century by the ancient Thracians. Sveti Vlas is one of the oldest settlements in Nessebar Municipality.
